So Lilith became a demon because she didn't want to be the gum under the shoe of Adam? She had the "mind-blowing" notion that she was actually equal to Adam and stood up for herself. Adam, of course, being the stellar man that he was couldn't accept her as an equal even though she physically WAS so she dropped him like a bad habit, rightfully so, and that's when all hell broke loose. All the little insecure, inept men got together and nervously fretted that other women might decide to get a shred of dignity and actually realize they were NOT less than, but equal to, so they quickly jumped to their parchment paper and wrote up an interesting little account of how this first women (created by GOD, from the earth, just like Adam) was now a cursed, evil "demon" who kills babies for no apparent reason (other than to scare women into submission of course). Oh, how I love biblical history and how they turn every disobedient or (gasp) independent woman into a prostitute or an effin demon. Long live religion! -B 45  out of 50 found this valuable. Yes, Lilith is a demon because she wanted to be equal. That just makes me see that apparently God is sexist. -.- 1  out of 2 found this valuable. Do you?

Last time I checked Lilith got mad because she wanted to "be on top" if you know what mean.
Also most of what you just said isn't accurate(not that I'm saying that men are dominant to women)

Also, Lilith is not a part of mainstream religious views, at least not anymore. Do you find this valuable?

Yeah, I read that she would kill all male babies in the houses she chose. She would mate with the husband of the house when the wife was out and then, being a holy creature, would give birth before the woman would return. She would only ever have daughters that looked very similar to her and would replace the murdered baby boys with her own succubus offspring. The men would slowly die, pining for Lilith to the point that they don't eat, sleep, or even love their wives anymore. Her daughters grew up to be just like her: tall, red headed, green eyed, curvy, and fair skinned suductresses. 2  out of 3 found this valuable. Do you?

In this story it just shows why I hate the whole god thing. I would make the same choice as Lilith. **** those people saying she has to obey the male because she is a female and less important. If this were true I'd be on the 'devils' side. 1  out of 3 found this valuable. Do you?

I agree. I don't believe Lilith was every realy human if she was real at all. I think this was just a man made story add to undermind women. I don't think god would change his beloved creation into a demon. He didn't turn the snake into a demon when it tempted Eve, he just took it's legs, but it's soul remains the same. There are many pieces that were put in the bible but then talen back out. And I believe this is the reason...

Revelation 22:18-19
"For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book."

Honestly, speaking from a christian perspective The Bible never mentions Lilith. The legend of Lilith I believe began as a Hebrew legend, and in the ancient times women were "property" you act like this is a recently created story it is "ancient" meaning before we had a sense of the equality of women. I believe you are wrong on the reasons she became a demon... She became a demon for disobeying god, not for wanting to be equal... "she pronounced the Ineffable Name" not god punished her... 1  out of 2 found this valuable. Do you?

She only wanted to be equal, but Adam would not have that. She 'would not lie beneath' as if her position during that had something to do with her position in the entire relationship. God, seeing that his creations were not compatible, banished Lilith (because she was the one being argumentative) and simply made another female. Nice to see that us girls are interchangeable, by the way. That's why I'm not the biggest fan of the bible, but that's just me. Either way, Eve was willing to be submissive. She was made of Adam, so she was dependent on him. Now Lilith chose to be a demon, Lucifer was kinder to her because he understood her. 1  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?
