Movie Reference and Anti-God
Apr 14 2012, 6:59 PM EDT
The idea of Anti-God actually comes from a science fiction movie called "Prince of Darkness". http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0093777/The idea of anti-god is that we assume the dichotomy of Good and evil and place ourselves as God's chosen on the side of good. Therefore evil is our reflection, our opposite. The film poses the idea that in fact we are the mirror element and the power in place of what we would call God would be anti-God because it services on the principals of our moral opposition and possibly against the laws of time/space in the universe as we know it. Its quite a fun idea to ponder. As for the other responses I find the Christian God to be highly hypocritical, deeming, violent, oppression, selfish, willful and childish than any powerful force should be. I wouldn't go as far to say its not possible but I doubt human interpretation thus far has even glimpsed the surface of the universe and its creatures. 12 out of 16 found this valuable. Do you? |
