I don't understand...are they Undead? Or living? I'm not sure. 12  out of 17 found this valuable. Do you?

I think they start off as living but then later on either continue on as the living or die and become the undead. I could be wrong though.

Since they are the off-spring of a human and a vampire, it's safe to say that they are alive. It would be horrible if the mother finds out that she has an undead fetus in her womb.

Please correct me if I'm wrong

Actually, in a sense vampires are not Undead. Cells do not grow or repair itself once the body dies. So it is safe to say that vampires are living. Only that they are made by an activation of a catalyst to evolve the body. Some are born as well. I've been studying a lot of lore and found that they are young due to their cells forever replacing themselves. ALL of the cells. So Dhampirs are living but evolved. 2  out of 2 found this valuable. They are very much alive like humans. They just have certain vampire characteristics which allow them to have enhanced abilities like hearing, smell, etc. than humans. 1  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?
