creature/demon

I have a friend, him and his wife have both seen this creature and was wondering if anyone knows what it is or what to do about it. Its 2 1/2 ft. tall covered in scales a greyish green tint, with black red eyes. He saw it at night in one part of the house. While the wife saw it in the bedroom around dusk the room was kinda dark. It was on the nightstand when she came into the room when it saw her it growled at her and jumped off nightstand and dissappeared she couldnt tell where it went. Any info will help. thanks

It could be a Gremlin. They have green scales, are small, and I think they have red eyes.

If it is a Gremlin how would one go about getting rid of it.

if they are leaving out food, tell them to lock it up. gremlins hate light, so if they saw it outside during the day then it is something else.

It was about 6 pm but dark in the bedroom will have to ask about food if it's not a gremlin what else could it be thank you for the help too
