Where i heard the myth
Jan 11 2012, 3:50 AM EST
I first heard about this creature (though i have yet to find more than a couple brief refernces to it) From my great Grandfather before he died. He was originally from the Highlands of Scotland and would tell us many stories about dragons, the Loch Ness monster and other creatures. I recall him telling about a cynogriffon a couple times but i didnt post what i couldnt remember him saying clearly. I knew it was Celtic or Nordic in orgin but i never new about the Native American part of it until I ran into a Blackfoot shaman who told me that they had a similar legend. Im looking everywhere I can think of to find a concrete source of this creature but I havent had much luck yet. If anyone finds anything please post it here and Ill get to it ASAP. Thank you2 out of 2 found this valuable. Do you? |

the thing is that a lot of these stories are verbally passed down so acquiring them is not a simple thing in many cases.
