i have always believed dragons have existed but all this their size, breath abilites, strength, intelligence, eye sight there has to be a limit a physical limit to it otherwise they could surpase the physical threshold and become something else something incorporeal perhaps i do not know this i is just a thought but just think how powerful can something be to not be noticed. 1  out of 2 found this valuable. Do you?

there is a limit naturally. Although there are stories about Dragons that are gods, but those are a different matter. Anyways, they do have physical limits. for example, they usually cant fly longer than three days straight, and generally they can't stay awake permanently, and there are times that their huge size is an impediment to getting places. I like to think of them as the ultimate mythical creature, the creature with the least weaknesses and the most strengths that is at the same time mortal.
Of course, the idea of being powerful enough to become incorporeal is also a possibility, however, if you think about it logically, Dragons are naturally few in number compared to many species due to the fact they are at the top of the food chain, and the higher up in the food chain you are, the less of you there are. Humans are the exception due to the fact we learned how to work the land, but if you were a dragon, why would you see any need on working the land when you can just pick out a couple of meals from the people that work it? Naturally, that would mean that their numbers would stay relatively low, but they could still go unnoticed.
