Crusniks.

How do you get turned into a Crusnik? Are Crusniks dead or alive? If Crusnik are alive then what's the point of turning somone into a Crusnik? Why not be born a Crusnik?

Do those who can answer this please tell me your source or if you are even using a source.

Well, in all honestly, its not clear. Particularly because Crusniks are even rarer than the vampires so the tales of them are few and far in between, comparatively speaking.

One of the most prevalent theories its that They are a sort of.... angel, so to speak. A being ordered by God to hunt down Vampires, which some believe originated when A) A man sold his soul to the devil, or B) when a trio (that is the most popular one anyways. Some say that it was one, others say it was two,but the most accurate one seems to point towards three) of angels rebelled against heaven in an attempt to gain more power, and were fought by three of God's greatest Archangels (Michael and Gabriel are popularly believed to be amongst them). The rebels lost and their burning bodies were cast down from heaven on to earth. The fallen trio were found by some people, who, believing them Gods, prayed to them and offered sacrifices in blood. The fallen ones gained strength from the life blood, and eventually hunted/ "blessed" their worshipers in order to keep living, drinking their blood and "blessing" them with the gift of vampirism. As such, God sent some angels, which became known as Crusniks, to hunt down the evil worshipers and the fallen ones that now threatened to unbalance the balance of the world and poison the people. If this is the correct theory, then Chances of being into a Crusnik are low. VERY low. And the crusnik would be alive but not bounded by the physical limitations of the world such as regular people are. Obviously all of this is based on the second theory o how vampires started.

An other theory is that Crusniks are simply a segment or faction of original vampires (or direct descendants and/or victims of the original vampires) that rebelled against the darkness of their own race, abhorring the need to kill an other sentient being in order to survive and cursing said creature until the end of days with a curse such as theirs.

In order to save themselves and their souls, these vampires turned to God, praying and meditating, and doing all in their power to cleanse themselves from their own darkness, a process which is said to be excruciatingly painful and difficult since it goes completely against their nature. Eventually, these Vampires proved themselves to God, who blessed them into Crusniks, allowing them to hunt their own kind and a chance at salvation. An other version says that it wasn't God that blessed them, but that they themselves evolved into Crusnik through said process. In this case, to turn into a Crusnik one must be a pretty powerful vampire and then undergo numerous trials and years upon years of training and cleansing and praying before becoming a Crusnik. That also means that a Crusnik is not living or dead, but somewhere in between.

An other theory says that Crusniks are what happens when a blessed Vampire Hunter ,with a strong attachment to life and a powerful will power, is killed in combat with a vampire. Weather its because its the crossing of God's blessing that neutralizes the Devil's curse or some other reason, thats not clear. However, its obviously rare, since its safe to say that vampire hunters are not common and not always successful.

And yet an other theory says that Cusniks are nature's control system for vampires, keeping them from running rampant. In which case, you would have to be born a Crusnik and Crusniks would be living.

the library. And internet. I some times take notes of stuff I find interesting and put it in a mini file or book. Basically its just a quick summary of things that I might want to look up later or bits and pieces of information I find interesting. Additionally, its not very hard to figure out yourself. Some times you come a cross an odd bit of legend that, when you match it up to an other one, at first glance they seem different but if you pay just a little attention then you realize they are actually very similar, and some times you can even make connections between these stories, sort of like a continuation of the first story, or a prologue. Some times people don't even realise they are talking about the same thing, just from different time frames or references. Do you find this valuable?

ok, well thank you again.
Yeah i'm really interested in Crusniks but finding it hard to get information on them. I've only heard about them from the series Trinity Blood and here. Trinity Blood Crusniks are just genetically made though and any fans that like to role play tend to decide that crusniks are made the same way vampires are or atleast this is what I found out.

well, I asume that "Crusniks" is just a modern name. There are probably other names they go by too. Try looking up something like... Vampire hunters, or Undead vampire hunters and stuff like that. it might provide a more accurate result. some times you just stumble on things though. Do you find this valuable?
