Aliens = Pixies

Putting it simply, what we refer to as aliens are just yet another example of the correllation between humanity's advances intersecting with our tales of an Otherworld. When we came up with wagons, suddenly all of the Celtic fey had wagons with wheels of green flame, driven by skeletal horses and a gaunt driver. There has never been a time when our supernatural creatures haven't been placed within contemporary settings compared to modern societies.

Not quite, see we can't have flying Wagons, but there is a realistic possibility there is Alien life out there.
