I mean i had some freaky thing happen too.
When i was around 9, I was sleeping and some time past midnight i for some reason awoke. As i lay there wide awake i heard a sound that was like a ball bouncing down the stair. I first thought it was my parents or sister going down for a drink BUT, it was consistent going bump. bump. bump. (oh wow, im getting goose pumps from this...) Now i dont know why i got up, didnt turn on the lights and opened my door to look outside. I mean my room was right in front of the stairs. and when i did, there was no sound. as i looked from my room i just got this chill so i closed my door and went under my blanket till i woke up in the morning. HOWEVER! this happened again! my family moved to a new town house and my room was AGAIN in front of the stairs. i was 10 and like before i woke up and heard the exact same sound. This time i stayed in bed though and turned on my lights, BUT the sound didnt stop. When the sound did stop after a couple seconds, i opened my door and went down stairs turning all the lights as a went and there was no ball or anyone down stairs.... after this though it never happened again.
