Actually, the belief that the Banshee takes life itself is a popular misconception. Banshee's are traditionally seen as benevolent. They attach themselves to certain family and are more or so protective. They wail out in mourning not to cause fear.

basically someone tells them a family member is going to die aa day before and start mourning then

I suppose it could be seen as a warning in some cases or just informing the rest of the family to the passing. I have read about angry banshees who were wronged by people and instead of protecting they haunt the family in retaliation, in which case yes, a d*ck move indeed. Do you find this valuable? |
