I can verify what you saw, but not as to location. I am usually very suspicious of these kinds of reports, but, when it happens to you, which it did to me, it more than tends to change one's mind rather rapidly. Where I saw this same beast was SW of Des Moines Iowa about 35 miles or so. We were travelling late at night and missed our turn to go to Centerville and instead went straight, when we discovered our mistake, we of course turned around and headed back, before we could accelerate and get up to speed, and less than a quarter of a mile from where we had turned around, there in the middle of the highway was this same beast you and others have reported. As we slowly passed it, I distinctly recall that it was of a height above the car that I had to look up through the front windshield to see the fangs of its scowling growl, It was on all fours at the time, but it still stood as high as I would have, about 6 feet tall without standing on it hind legs. Its front was higher than its back, making it look hyeena like, but it was no hyeena, the snout that I seen was definitely a wolf's head all the way around. My advice, move, dont dawdle, don't stay, move and get outta there, this creature is either not of this earth or is something dreamed up in someone's labratory, and that person wasn't sane!

i dont know for sure if these creatures are violent, but just in case, stock up on silver. silver bullets, silver blades. silver has been a very good weapon against alot of mythical creatures in the past. you never know. 3  out of 3 found this valuable. Do you?

silver may not do the trick. if it is indeed a werewolf it will not work like you think it will. if anything it will piss it off more and that is the last thing that you need. 2  out of 5 found this valuable. Do you?

well, from my research, you should try wolfbane. its a type of flower. its toxin and tonic (so be careful how you use it) to werewolfs. it might just work. as i said, toxin AND tonic. 0  out of 2 found this valuable. Do you?

yeah i believe all of you guys, oh and yesterday I saw a flying cow do a green **** on one of the creatures you are talking about. the creature then flew over the same line of houses and ran to a dirt road near my church, after using his mind control to make the cow kill itself. 1  out of 5 found this valuable. The idea of the silver killing werewolves comes from a number of sources. Silver has long ben considered a pure and powerful substance, and it has been used in various legends, myths, and fictional stories to kill withces, werewolves, and number of other creatures.

The main idea now comes from werewolf movies, leading many people to doubt it, but the source of that hollywood rumor is actually routed in a semi-historical account of the end of the Gevaudan killings in France. From 1764 to 1767, rural France, paarticularly the Gevaudan area, saw the brutal attacks of around 210 people, and the killings of at least 113 durning attacks. Accounts and theories on the attacker vary. At the time, it was first thought to be a wolf, then a "wolfman," and sometimes a crazy person.
Modern theories range from a thought-to-be-extinct cave hyena, a person raised by wolves, or possibly one of the most prolific serial killers of all time. The last theory is supported by the fact that the victims chosen were mostly women and children, and that the killings were known to occassionally stop for a little while.

In the end, story goes, a farmer named Jean Chastel melted a statue of the Virgin Mary into three silver bullets which he had blessed by a preist. He then went out into the woods and hunted a great wolf-like creature, killing it with one shot. This history has been accepted for years, and Jean Chastel was hailed as a hero. The beast was never officially identified, to modern knowledge.
