If Dinosaurs did in fact still exist in this era, killing them would just show the world how pathetically stupid you are.
Eg: "Oh look, a creature we thought to be extinct for millions of years, and everyone loves them. Hey, I've got an idea, how about I kill them. That'd be the cool thing to do"
