This creature definitely existed! Whale carcass or new creature??

My grandfather who took the photos arrived after it had been washed up on the rocks.

What it was exactly remains a mystery...
Some scientists having seen the photos believe it to have been a globster (remains of a decomposing whale) and not the living creature described by the eye-witnesses.

I have lived in South Africa all my life and have been to Margate practically every year since birth but have never heard another account of Orca's being spotted from Margate's coast. Perhaps they are further out (although I also scuba-dive in the area), perhaps they prefer the cooler waters further South (off the Cape Coast), or perhaps over-fishing along the entire coast has forced them to seek food elsewhere. I have seen whales (blow whales) occasionally far out to sea from a high vantage point on the shore at specific times of the year.
