Kyuubi in Naruto is NOT a Kitsune, he's a Nogitsune. They tend to be more malicious and destructive than Kitsune as Kitsune are benevolent. Nogitsune are more malicious fox spirits and are basically renegade kitsune. But there are differences, nine-tailed Kitsune are either white or gold, Nogitsune don't have this restriction.

FYI: Kyuubi's name probably came from the Japanese term for Nine-tailed fox-- Kyuubi no Kitsune. Kitsune means "Fox". 1  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?
