Of course all of this is speculation and theory; you had a lot of facts and sources and reasons behind why you believed it to be true. All this information was helpful. And every one has their own take and ideal on what vampirism is.
The only thing you were missing was more information on Vlad Tepes. He wasn't just someone in Bram Stoker's novel. He was real. A menace the Impaler and there is speculation that his body isn't at Lake Snagov where he was promised a Christi.an Burial. Because a real Christian burial needs the full body; and the Ottomans took his head. And there is also the Order of The Dragon.
You might want to look into that.
