The Krusnik

In Slovenian legends it is said that the krsnik 's soul leaves the body, either voluntarily or due to a higher power. and it turns into an animal at night to fight off vampires, with the krsnik appearing as a white animal. which one is true? and can you give me references which support your theory? please and thank you 2 out of 3 found this valuable. In Croatian and Slovenian lore, a person born with a caul was destined to become either a Kudlak or a Kresnik. A Kudlak would become a vampire upon death, a Krensnik never was considered a vampire but a deity, they didnt become vampire till the manga trinity blood came around and screw up the myth.
