The Mermaid

If there were such a creature in the sea, it would not exist to be such a beautiful woman with long flowing hair, falling in love with sailors and singing. I imagine that if there were a human/fish hybrid, it would look more fish than human, having a scaly skin, no hair. Being such a adapted creature, it would be a carnivore more than likely, giving it sharp teeth and possibly clawed hands for capture of prey. Possibly venomous. They would have silvery large eyes like you see on fish, no breasts like the men would have liked. But probably a thin exposed stomach of ribs. I imagine they would look like the humanoid version of an angler fish
