The peryton also had one thing that set it apart - its shadow was that of a human. Some cultures had it as a stag-headed bird, while others had it as a winged stag. Sometimes it was carnivorous, sometimes not. But it always had that odd shadow. 15  out of 15 found this valuable. Do you?
