Yeah, summoning something you don't fully understand that could possibly hurt you is an extremely bad idea.

8. Genies are very dangerous!
Jun 27 2011, 11:31 PM EDT
Like any other being of the "Spirit World" their customs and morals are completely different from that of humans. There are --as far as my knowledge goes-- There's 6 factions, sorta how we organized humans into gentry, middle class, and working class. These Genie factions are Jann, Ghul, D'jinn, Shaytan, Ifrits, Marid. Jann are the weakest, being only earthly spirits like Dryads, Naiads, Elves and other "elemental" spirits (sorta like Gardeners of the spirit world). Now Ghul and D'jinn are both of the same class. D'jinn are like businessmen, they use their "powers" to grant wishes in exchange for something of value to them. Ghuls are evil D'jinn that make deals in exchange for forbidden things(for example: ownership of your soul). Shaytan is a hazy group and I'm pretty sure they are just a physical form of the other classes. What I do know about Shaytan is that these are your "Ghost" and "Shadow People". These are the ones that love to take on the forms of loved ones and "demons" and are a favorite among the fortune-teller and the psychics(who use them for gaining insight). They are also very well known for spreading lies. Ifrits are the wise teachers and warriors of the genie group. They are rare to find but not as rare. These are one of the most dangerous because they have a quick temper and are easily offended. Even so they usually good. If you can, and if they are willing, to call upon one they will tell you many things about the spirit world. BEWARE because Shaytans love to pretend to be ifrits. Now you will never see a Marid. Marids are the "lords" of the genies, They are extremely powerful and extremely dangerous a lot of the genies will tell you that the Marids are unknown when it comes to being good or evil. They are said to be both cruel and kind at the same time and all lower classes of genies fear them. Now to answer you question about finding one.

9. Answering your question
Jun 28 2011, 12:42 AM EDT
"how do u find a djinn and win its favor?"I'm the same dude who posted the "Genies are very dangerous!" reply. I clicked the wrong reply button and ran into the character limit. Anyway unto answering your question. Even though the exact numbers are not clearly known, there's at least 3 genies to 1 human. So that means there's always one close to you ---even though they all wander so the same one may not always be around. Now to talk to one you'll need a medium. You can do a pendant-talk if you want. Hold out a necklace ---with charm--- and hold it so that you're holding one end of the chain and the charm is hanging off the other. You can ask the genies close to you answer your questions. "Circles" mean yes and "swaying" means no. If the chain goes into a "figure 8" motion it means that the spirits are fighting over what the answer should be or they don't know themselves. BEWARE this'll most likely be taken as a sign that you are allowing them to take control of you. They'll most likely be Shaytans and will lie to you. Ghuls will start appearing and haunting you. Matter of fact even though I did the necessary rituals to keep this from happening I still have a genie that loves to follow me. I ADVISE AGAINST EVER TALKING TO A GENIE OR DEMON, most likely you will be harmed in someway or another. As for winning any genies favor it's close to impossible. Reason why is because they are completely different from us. Their customs are nothing like us and they actually view us as inferior --despite that in the beginning we were given domain over them as lords. Nothing you can do can really gain their favor unless you can completely understand them which only King Solomon of Israel was ever recorded. If you've any other questions or wish to know more about the spirit world I'll be glad to answer and explain them to you --or anyone at that matter! ~Raniya, ሶዑል ስአር peace in heart 3 out of 3 found this valuable. "I am very interested in what you know about Djinns.. My curiosity runs away from me.. What else do you know?"I may not know as much as that anonymous person (or not remember a lot of it because of some crap or another), but I CAN tell you this: be careful what you wish for (literally and figuratively). Unlike faeries, which are merely mischief-makers in a lot of cases but generally harmless, Djinn of any class/"race" can and will do harm to anyone and everyone who think they can control them. They think "OH! The arrogance of this mortal creature of clay that can try to control me! The idiot"...Usually, however, if you merely run across them by accident and go about your business, they leave you alone, kind of like a wasp if you just pass by their nest...No harm no foul, as they say. Like I said, if you want to try to "control" them (which, sorry, I have to laugh at: there's no real way of truly controlling a Djiin unless you're a God, and even in that case, they'll give the immortal hell), my only advice is this: don't muck with their pride, or provoke their temper. Kiss their feet if you must, but NEVER even think that they're truly bound to you. If they want to be let go, let them go. Never disrespect them, especially if they're nice enough to even listen to you before killing you. Hope I don't sound too aggressive. If I don't make much sense, it's because I'm very tired. I'll respond to any replies when I get the time to do so. If you still insist on trying to "control" one of these great creatures, then I wish you the best of luck, and God's (or in this case, Allah's) Speed. :-) Do you find this valuable? |

They are like us: there are good ones, bad ones, and in-between. Just keep in mind that you need to be very specific in what you wish them to do. They don't have the same morality as a human, nor do they have the same mind. Not by a long shot. Do you find this valuable? |

"Now, why would I bother?Erm...summonings /can/ work, but it's rare for the creature summoned to really be an Ifrit. More than likely a less-powerful pretender, but at least it doesn't seem to be doing any harm, and the Djinn doesn't seem to be suffering much either (I'm sure he/she could break away if they wanted to, I think they just like the company maybe O_o). Your statement about being a Djinn has gotten me curious, though...If you don't want to answer my next question, you don't have to, but I feel compelled to ask: If you truly are Djinn, could you specify if you are Efreet, Jan, Marid...? I would be honored if you would divulge such information to me. Why would you bother, you may ask? Because...Well, what harm would it cause? I'm asking out of mere curiosity, and mean no disrespect. Do you find this valuable? |
