What`s supposed to get under Fictional creatures?

I wonder what`s supposed to get in this category - Can I include creatures i made up or they have to be already mentioned somewhere? 7  out of 7 found this valuable. Do you?

Generally creatures which are well known but never been believed in. Like you would find in literature, online roleplaying and occasionally on forums. 2  out of 2 found this valuable. Do you?
