Do you believe in God, Ghosts, Santa Claus? Why?
Sep 8 2010, 7:19 AM EDTI'll tell you why. They have one thing in common.
People...you and I. It's proof. You can't tell me none of this is a lie.
So mythical creatures and beasts do still exist. Right? Do you find this valuable?

Jun 29 2011, 3:43 AM EDTI most certainly believe in God. The universe did not occur by accident. How can there not be an overall power creating the complexities of matter?
When in direst trouble I have prayed and, whether the answer is what I wanted or not, I have felt his power. He answers questions -"Lord, where on earth did I put my spectacles?", Answer: Look again. I do, and there they are! He gives help -"Lord, I MUST catch that train." Answer "No, something better will happen if you miss it." "Lord, take my friend into your care." Answer - a phone call from that friend saying that she had solved her problem.
God's answers may be "yes", "no" or "Wait", just as an earthly parent's answer may.
Try him out for yourself. Go to church - set yourself a promise of , say, six week's attendance and see how you feel at the end. Don't expect to get your own way. Don't expect miracles. Don't expect divine intervention to be obvious. Don't expect to understand all that happens, Just give him a chance. Pray, - remember what you pray for, and see what theanswer is,
There is evil in the world. God never promised to eliminate it all. Watch and see where he brings something good out of evil. God allows us free will in order for us to develop. Sometimes that results in bad things, but God will still be there. His help may be to change our feelings, rather than anything more dramatic.
Don't expect an answer to all those questions that have troubled people for centuries. How often are children told "You will understand when you grow up." So it is with God.
TRY HIM OUT. Ask yourself what good came from a tragedy? Would your life have been truly better if....?
0 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?
