yes, dragons are real.
I have one as a.... how do i say this... spirit guide or guardian :D
They are strong creatures, demons can't kill any (dragons are stronger then demons) only angels of Heaven can win against these massive creatures. There are dragons of light and darkness only, there is no such thing as a ice dragon or fire dragon... well the dark and light dragons breath fire... but over all yea dragons are real :D

theoretically speaking though, Evil does tend to want to imitated a dragon. Why? Because of how a dragon is. They are massive, powerfull, gracefull, and have vast knowledge. Who wouldn't want that? They are practically a living monument to power and and grace. Ofcourse, anything that is made by the creator (God), is subject for demons, and hell creatures to hate and covet. Then, if they don't want to risk attacking a dragon, why not copy it and try to give it a bad reputation and try to make it so people hate it? Its pety, but its wrong and thats all they care about. What about Sigurd, St. George, and Beowulf? They all killed a dragon yet are not angels. The fact that Beowulf died doesn't matter, he still killed a dragon. There are other stories as well about mortals killing dragons. Where do you get your information that only an angel can slay a dragon? I would be curious to hear it.

Depending on your view. St. Goerge killed a DEMON in the FORM of a Dragon. Quite different. Now, as to Beowulf, I don't really even Classify that as a "Dragon". It was born from a humanoid Woman-like creature, that alone tells me it wasn't born in the way other creatures which would be classified as "Dragons" Are born. To top it of, the actions of the Dragon were irrational and his developement seemed awkard, as a resoult it was an immitation in my opinion....A hybrid perhaps? Maibe even a branch sub-specie derivative from the dragons?
At any rate, Material/Earthbound Dragons, estrictly speaking, are for the most part mortal. As a resoult they are subject to death unless they fall within the few categories of Earthbound Dragons which are immortal. Therefore, I suposse that the idea of ALL dragons being greater than anything except The heavens is false, but that doesn't mean that they are weak. I can see, for example, at the moment the dragon swallows a man, the knife of said man stabbing the throat of the beast, weather by accident or out of panic, effectively, either killing or injuring the beast.
Keep in mind, that the chances of these are very low, seeing as the person would have to some how have the knife and apply enough force with enough precision to cut the throat. In other words, the propabability is extreamly low.
Of course, in the sence of Dragons over all, I can see them being a major force, Especially Heavenly Dragons, which, in theory, Would be amongst the Greatests of God's Creations, seen as they stand in very high orders of the Heavens.
