Actally, "fool" depending on what legend you look at, Zombies can be raised by magic. In many hoo-doo and vou-do religions that is exactally how they are raised, the difference between a real zombie created by magic and a holly wood zombie is that Zombie's raised by magic dont hunt human flesh at random, they are in a coma-like state which allows the hoo-doo/vou-du priest who put them under to control them. 7  out of 10 found this valuable. Do you?

The person is not dead however, it has been observed for over a century now. The "Zombie" is still alive, but with very basic cognitive functions, not the living dead. Zombies Cannot be raised at all, as no real proof that their methods work have ever been noted, only the manner in which they do them.

Though Voodoo is not the only practise on the Earth where corpses are reanimated, it is such an ancient belief and there are some practises much older than Voodoo, in Ancient China for example, there are many often alien sounding beliefs about how to raise the dead.
