Scylla:: Editing?
Aug 2 2010, 4:16 PM EDT | Post edited: Aug 2 2010, 4:16 PM EDT
This is totally wrong. I've read the Odyssey myself and Scylla is NOT a half Nymph. She's a monster with 6 (I think it's 6. may be 8 or something. xD) heads, who is next to the monster Charybdis (the whirlpool). I'm a huge fan opf greek myths... Is it possible for someone to fix this? Or can I fix it? 7  out of 8 found this valuable. Do you?

I would get the confusion in this... Many depictions I've seen of her are of this (what's on the page). But to clear up the confusion, here: http://www.mlahanas.de/Greeks/Texts/Odyssey/Odyssey12.html Do you find this valuable?

Though I don't know about nymph, Scylla began life as a woman. Glaucus fell in love with her, and out of jealousy Circe cursed her into the monstrous shape we know.

This example infers that she was a water-nymph - http://www.online-mythology.com/glaucus_scylla/

mmm... well I don't know her history before she became the monster... She could have been a nymph. But at the end she was Scylla the monster (or whatever you want to call her). Do you find this valuable?
