Running Freedom
Jul 24 2010, 1:16 PM EDT
Loup Garou are very special creatures. Beautiful and swift. Proud and smart. Insulting them is unkind and ignorant. The feeling of the wind in your fur as you run, the senses, the sights, the smells. All the wonders one can explore, the feeling of belonging to a pack, just knowing that their are others out there for you, looking out for you, and just knowing you are not alone. Never underestimate the gifts God gives people. There are many of different things that can be considered a blessing, but there are others... Others who don't understand, who will try to hurt you and your family if they ever found out. And without understanding why do you think they are in hiding? If people knew who they were....Well what do people do when they don't understand something? They kill it. Humanity is stupid sometimes...

I agree on the final statement, though i assume you are yet another person trying to claim kinship and blood to a Mythical creature. I might as well start claiming lineage to some old entity or another. I think i shall start calling myself a Old God, one of those who walked this Earth when man was still young, and who was worshipped by the many.

I am not claiming kinship to this beloved creature. Nor am I stating that I am one. Would be nice, but no. I am not a loup garou, but I do cherish the vibrant spirits of these creatures. I would love to be able to be one, but alas I am merely human. A human that's ancestors that believed the wolf to be spirit guides, and that many of our people who's spirit guide is the wolf. ^^

It is still not a wolf, just like if you dream you are rich, you are still not rich. We all see the spirit world in different shades, spirits have no true substantial form, they are the essence of something, sometimes of even the world itself. Do you find this valuable? |

"Really?"Yep, been running around for a while now with the self-assumed powers to grant other people the same status as himself. It's just an excuse really to keep him in as high a place possible and pretend we can't hear him talking. 0 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

Very true. Spirits are something we are yet to understand, and it's possible we never will. My grandfather spoke of how the wolves and the Cherokee were much alike. Both hunted for himself and his family, both would protect his family from invaders. Never would one think themselves higher then the other. Cherokee cherish the symbolism of the wolf. And it plays a great tradition in our people's culture.

I thought the Coyote was the sacred animal for the Native American's. I am probably wrong, it is not an area i have much knowledge in.

There are many sacred animals to the Native Americans, coyote's can be one of them, it all depends on what tribe and what area of the world were talking about. The Inuit revere the Snowy Owl, because that was an animal that could be found where they live while, the Coyote is an animal that can be found in many Native American myths and legends across the North American continent, because it is a very common animal.

Ah, i see. Like the wolf, features in many European myths. I am very interested in Native American culture, finding people, who actually have such blood in their veins, and still follow their ancient paths, is rather difficult for me.

Gosh, you're all so...verbose. This practically a love letter to loup-garoux/wolves. You could say all that without writing a paragraph, you know. Why don't just type how your really talk. Nobody talks like this in reality...unless you're an English teacher. It sounds ridiculous. *laughs* Narcissistic, self-important people... 0 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

A loup garoux?...I seriously doubt it.More likely, self-proclaimed loup garoux end up being: -"Furries/fur-suiters" that dress in (rather badly made) costumes/masks in order to feel closer to their"animal counterparts". -Or (even more disturbingly), part of that new "werewolf" fad thing, wearing tail on your pants and other ridiculous things: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q77sJT8O56E -Or fans of Blood and Chocolate/TrueBlood that have taken obsession in an unhealthy, VERY deluded direction. -Or even more bizarre than vampire underground culture: A werewolf cult/ "pack", complete with pack hierarchy. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I think it's pretty safe to say that unless you have some sort of actual evidence, we'll remain skeptics. Besides: If I put myself in a loup-garou's position, I wouldn't be telling the whole world what I was, or hinting the existence of others. That sort of thing should stay hidden from the rest of the world and is probably better off that way...As much as I'd like to believe anything is possible. 0 out of 2 found this valuable. Do you? |

You're so right R.E. those that do not understand wish to kill what they do not understand instead of trying to sit and learn. i'm all alone, and i wish i had a pack to call my own. someone who understood me and protected me. who would run with me and teach me more of a happy life, all i've seen is sadness and abuse. so i understand why the Loup Garou hide. i also hide so i won't be hurt.

We're not all illiterate imbeciles.Perhaps you should hold your tongue before replying with such rubbish in the future, i for one, always speak and write, in full English. You do not need to be a English teacher to write and speak in such a manner. However, i shall not be drawn into a meaningless debate with one who knows nothing about how others truly speak, and only makes far flung guesses based on the ever growing fad to speak like a caveman. replacing entire words with numbers, and abbreviating longer words for no other reason, other than to be lazy. I appreciate every word in the English language, many words have taken hundreds of years to evolve into what they are today, i will not destroy an entire language, by using it as proverbial toilet paper. Embrace the language, don't wipe your arse on it... Besides, to make a point clear, it is often necessary to explain the origin of our reasoning, rather than simply say "i don't agree with that" and give no clue as to why. 1 out of 2 found this valuable. I agree with Anon.Just because we don't speak quite as ornately doesn't mean we're cavemen. :/ I'm not talking in short hand/txt-speak. Stuff like "omg", "LOL", etc. C'mon: "rubbish", "proverbial"? We're not in the Victorian era, or writing a historic novel or whatever. (No offense to those who are.) You sound like Jane Austen. ^_^' Just condense it, or write a new article so you dun clog this one. 1 out of 2 found this valuable. Do you? |

Hahahaha, right? Self important people on the internet are sad. They need to put themselves on a pedestal in order to feel good about themselves. If he/she wants to show s off their showy prose, go write a book and don't waste it on a blog/forum. Sheesh.
