lamia

is it possible that there can be a lamia still around to this day? or at least if there isn't, would it be possible to see statue carvings on mountain sides? because if that is the case, i have been racking my brain, googling, and researching the hell out of a carving that i saw that is on a mountain side where i went hiking in the pacific northwest in washington state that looks just like a lamia. i thought that my eyes were playing tricks on me, but i had my son(13) look at it to see if i was tripping out or not. he saw the same thing. next time i go up there, in a week, i am going to take some pictures and hopefully post them on this site.

I will love to see the picture. I think I will possible for it be some type of serpent women but a Lamia, being a greek creature and you seeing this carving in Washington, will probably be incorrect. Serpent women are seen through many cultures so narrowing it down to one creature may take time.

Has anyone ever watched, Drag me to Hell? I'm pretty sure the Demon in that is called a Lamia, even though it has none of the Lamia's attributes. Though, it may be just how they're pronouncing it.
