Jan, Janus, or both?

Are you talking about Janus? The god of beginnings and doors? The one that has two faces, one in front, one in the back. more information on him can be found at http://www.mythencyclopedia.com/Iz-Le/Janus.htm. I've sometimes see him called Jan for short or associated with the word at least. If not, is there any other information that could be given other than a name? If you know nothing other than its name, then how do you know there is something called a Jan? If you gave more information, just a smidgen, perhaps that it's a creature of... Greek Mythology? Irish folktale? people would be able to help find a definition for it easier. 5  out of 7 found this valuable. Do you?

He/she, does mention that 'Jan' is indeed a ranking of Angel. Though, there is not alot of information about Jan, I cannot even find it's existence in any of my books, there are two other Angelic names, which mayhap be similar; Janiel - Angel of the second degree of Sagittarius. And Janael, Angel of the East of the first heaven, who appears in the Sloane Book of Raziel. Do you find this valuable?

Hmm. It would appear that the source given no longer bears the quoted data. Perhaps we shoulds ask Stereo about it? Do you find this valuable?

That would be a good idea, the page they created, seems totally devoid of information, and i, nor anyone else can find anything which is of use to add to it. 2  out of 2 found this valuable. Do you?
