Dante's Inferno
Jun 22 2010, 9:46 AM EDT
In Dante's Inferno Charon is not the rower of the boat, but the boat itself. Also you kill death in the beginning, you kill the Grim Reaper and take his scythe. Although I don't think its possible to die with a weapon or kill the Grim Reaper, you would be killing death itself.

That depends if whether or not the Grim Reaper is Death itself or just a arm of Death. Indeed Death itself cannot die, that is illogical, though i guess, if there is nothing left to die, death can die. However if the Reaper is a mere extension, such as carrying out it's will etc then i see no reason why it cannot die, for something else could take it's place.

"you actualy base your facts off a video game"No, i do not believe that he does. It is just the idea of the Grim reaper, who is often death itself, being killed. It makes no sense, unless you put the reaper in a different context. Death cannot die, logically, just as fire cannot be burned, but if something were to be a extension of a force, almost the same, but just a personification, then it's absence would not matter in the bigger picture, because it can be replaced.
