does the belt thing work in any cases at all. I know this sounds like a stupid question but id it does then i would be so happy Do you find this valuable?

If you mean 'work' as in mythological terms. Yes.

The magic belt, girdle or pelt was a common explanation for transformation. Mainly in cases where the human is in control, not subject to the feral nature of the beast.

A good example of this working would be the old Norse tale of Sigmund and Sinfjotli. Do you find this valuable?
