I think a wendigo is created mostly from cannibalism but in the since that you are what you eat. In Africa it is believed if you ate the heart of a human your own heart will be stronger. So im theory if you ate a bunch of human parts you would become stonger and fast, but also deformed and grotesque. I can imagine this would happen a lot in deep parts of the mountains due to the fact that if a group gets lost out there and food is hard to come by that people will do just about anything for food, even resort to cannibalism.

its not really hard to find if you knw where to find it nd how to get it. you have to either fight for it or kill for it.
