Nah, mate, look up New Jersey, Matawan Creek, around 1916. Peter Benchley said after he saw a 25ft shark being caught on the news, that he "thought, wow, imagine, just one of those things coming at you...", and that he found a story about New Jersey that gave him the idea for the plot, where townsfolk wouldn't believe someone who knew about it. Do you find this valuable?
