Size does not necessarily restrict ferocity. Firstly, otters tend to be larger than people think, they normally picture a North American river-otters, which are very small by otter standards. Some species can get up to six feet long. Secondly, wolverines, which range about 30-50 pounds, are known to chase off bears, both black bears and grizzley bears. Small animals can be very ferocious if they're built properly for it.
