Wonderful Museum

I would love to have visited the museum. It reminds me in ways of the supposed discoveries found by such men as Bernard Heuvelman and Ivan T Sanderson, which were very striking, even for hoaxes, which I am sure 90% of them were. Gigantopithecus, model or not, is terrifying to behold. How ancient civilizations could share their lives with such giant apes and sloths and bears is a miracle in and of its self.

Indeed. Early inhabitants of Australia had to contend with the Megalania - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Megalania
