Good question.As far as I'm aware there have been no documented cases of anyone having achieved such a thing. Must black dogs disappear on their own, often before the person realises they are supernatural, and the ones that attack are few and far in between. FreeDragon? Do you find this valuable? |

Hmmm...Intersting question.Welll....IF it is the Demonic kind of Black dog ( for as I have said there have been a few reported cases in which black dogs are not evil. Trully I think there has only been 2 or 3 times ever, but still) However, I would suggest for you to have a holy item, or an amulet / item of power....Or a very High faith. For example, it was said that a sword forged in the fires of a dragon can make one of the mightiests weapons to ever exist. Capable of slashing through even the unsubstancial like shadows. Some have suggested that Scalibur was forged in the fires of a dragon. OR a cross, or a rossary, or Holy water, (preferably all) OR they used to say that The Flute of Drake Pierra had some powerfull magic. Or perhaps the belt of the twelve stars, which was said to have, and be able to hold, great amounts of power. OR have Faith strong enough to repel the Dog....Like Jesus or the apostles did with demons. Do you find this valuable? |

Yeah, we're fairly certain black dogs fall under a sort of 'Hellhound' category. Meaning they come directly from the fire and brimstone itself.Banishing any such demons is always achieved by religious artifacts or techniques. So perhaps typical Hell demon countering techniques will work. Like reading from the Bible or just plain old laughter. Of course considering the idea that the appearance of a Black Dog foretells a death. It may be something that cannot be fought or the black dog may be taking on a role of a banshee. Ergo just a messenger of the predicted fatality, having nothing to do with the deadly act itself. Do you find this valuable? |

true. This is, hoever, provided that it is the DEMONIC kind of black dog. For if it was the protector or good kind, then A) holy stuff wouldn't d omuch and B) it likely wont attack you.
