  • Life Cycle When a phoenix dies, It poofs to ashes then, a newborn chick hatches from the ashes. This will go on for 500-1000 years before the chicks will stop hatching.
I know this because I HAVE ONE! Don't belive me and I will send him to kill you.

  • THUNDERBIRD or very large black bird While ocean watching in Northern California, I came upon a HUGE bird sitting on the cliff near the parking lot, about 6:30 am.
It was pulling at something it was eating. I would say the bird was bigger than my car...maybe 6ft high & 12ft. long, black shiny feathers..more like a crow than a pheonix from mythology. It flew away, and tho I came back several mornings, I never saw it again.

  • I've seen a bird, repeadity, that resymbols a phoenix This is one of my favorite mythical creatures of all time...well comsidering my life as a kid...and i don't know why things that have a erie resymbolence to certain mythical creatures always come to me instead of the other way around...especally as a kid...because not even knowing what something is it just shows up out of nowhere.Like a bird that resymbol the phonix I saw repeaditly as a kid...it wasn't huge like it said to be though. And it does have very beautiful coloring, but it doesn't have red feathers or any plumage. Well, I saw it repeadedly as a kid at about age 6. It was about the size of a robin...but you could tell it was NOWHERE near a robin. It was beautiful with feathers ranging from gold to orange to light pink-ish orange-ish color. I had bright orange stomuch, and in it's feathering had no plumage what so ever...I compared it to a robin before and again I'll use this for reference again... it looked like a robin with no long feathers or anything like that. And it's beak was black and legs were gray-ish. and I saw it repeditly, like I'd see it one day and wouldn't see it for days, or weeks, or months at a time. And every time I saw it, it would be perched somewhere looking at me. But, as I got older it came less and less. And as I got older and saw pictures of the phonix I begain to realise what it was. But, now as I've gotten older, I don't see it anymore...and I actually mess it. It was one of the most beautiful birds I even saw...
(And a note to all those dis-believers of my story...I live in kentucky, so their is NO chance that it was a any of the birds that live in ky or any of the birds that actually resymbol it in ral life. And the bird I saw did not look anything like the birds that resymbol the phoenix in real life. So, go chew on that for a few minutes, and see how you would disprove that!!!!!)

  • Pheonix in most resources the pheonix dies and is born again but that is not true. the pheonix accually builds a fire bath to get rid of parasites giving it the impression that the pheonix dies and is born again from the ash.

  • Navajo Legend there's an old navajo story about twins whos father was the sun. using weapons from their father they killed two large birds that lived on the shiprock formation. these birds carried their prey and dropped them on the rocks to feed their young. after they were killed the two offspring begged for their lives and became the eagle and the owl. the owl represents a warning and the eagle represent good fortune. i think the thunderbird may be the two birds but not sure
