  • Witches and the W word well... Its hard to explain from a modern point of view, but not so much from a more primitive physiological point of view. This might be a bit long, but I think its necessary to make my point.
In the beginning, when People began to follow Jesus, it wasn't much of a problem, right? He was just a nice guy who did good things. As it goes on, he (and by proxy his followers) begins to be targeted by the dominant elite and and many cultural groups. So far so good right? So, "Christians" of the time (I say "Christians" because they didn't refer to themselves as a religious group separate from the Jewish until a few centuries later) Christians had to be careful with who they talked to and such, but they still had a good amount of freedom and relatively worry free.
Then things start turning ugly. Jesus is crucified and people connected to him are more openly shunned and vulnerable. Alright, that doesn't sound TOO bad. And it isn't compared to other things that could have happened. But then Christianity starts to spread after Jesus comes back from the dead. At first its not a big problem, but then The elite and the dominant religious groups of several areas start becoming aggressive with them for several reasons. Jews seeing them as betrayers, and other religions as dangerous heathens or even demons. Alright, thats starting to become bad.
And then things go STRAIGHT down hill. As in "Free Falling" straight down. Why? The Romans. I think it was Nero, the Cesar of the roman empire at the time, who set fire to a large chunk of Rome so he could make space to build things for his entertainment (don't quite remember what).
The Romans, being quite advanced for their time, put two and two together and started to get angry at nero. But the willy bastard did something smart: He blamed the Christians. It wasn't hard. They were already mistrusted by most everybody in the Roman Empire (continued...)

"GET IT RIGHT! ALL DEMONS ARE BAD! THAT'S PART OF THE MEANING OF "DEMON". IF IT'S GOOD IT'S NOT A DEMON, IT'S A NORMAL SPIRIT! PAN WAS A GOD! WHAT'S THE MATTER WITH YOU PEOPLE!!!!! sheesh"
Get it right, no demon is naturally bad. Christianity demanded them be bad. Original Demons, were like the Roman Genius, a type of spirit which could follow each person around, almost like their advice, or inspiration. Both good and bad.

It was really only when Christianity became wide spread among the Empire, that Demons became evil servitors, which only wished destruction on man. Another example of the idiocy of the Church, demonising everything it came in contact with.

  • hissing The bible has never been proved wrong by anyone?
Oh im afraid that's not true my dear, every day hundreds of people prove the bible wrong,me included, the bible is incredibly easy to prove wrong. They really didn't try to squash it, the Roman empire saw Christianity as the perfect new means of control over the peasants, and only a few Roman emperors tried to oppose christianity (Nero)
Anyone can fight against God, hell even I do it every day by not believing in God.

Now, for the proving wrong part.

    God- Thoulth shall not kill
God kills billions of people, among them newborn egyptian infants and of course, drowns everyone on the planet besides a drunk and his family
    God- Incest is a sin
God saves only one family of people after supposedly drowning everyone, and than he says that only family has to repopulate earth, disturbing mental images ensue.
    God- Im all forgiving
God sends people to hell for not worshipping him even If they live somewhere far away where Christianity never set foot.
God- I only make perfect things
God makes Satan who rebels and becomes non perfect, therefore God created something non perfect
    God- I am all knowing
God knows everything that will happen therefore he knew Lucifer will rebel against him, and knew Eve would eat from the tree, he knows every disaster that will happen but doesn't stop it.
God- All the hardships in your life are from me to test your faith.
God as stated above is supposedly all knowing therefore he knows if you will fail or win before you even do, but he still tests you anyway.
    God- Jealousy is a sin
    God- Wrath is a sin

(Deuteronomy 4:24 NIV) For the LORD your God is a consuming fire, a jealous God.

Here's your bible, proven wrong, would you like fries with that? :3

  • angelic I will retire from this little argument ogrin, because if i don't il have to go trough the trouble of writing a psychological insight on your behavior, which believe me you will find painful and offensive.

    As for the spiritual-
    Never blindly follow anyone.
Never have blind faith in anything
Nothing is real, nothing is true
    Everything must be questioned
    Everything is possible
In the dark ages, people believed the pope, was the real deal, they believed he was the messenger of christ the lord and all that, so they burned people alive, went to bloody wars, and spread horror and war everywhere, take the Teutonic knight order of the sacred roman empire as an example, they thought they were doing it for "the real deal" while they burned infants of the lithuanian people, claiming they are spawn of the devil.
    Consider this.
I have been fooled by self proclaimed internet Heroes countless times before i learned not to trust everyone who said they were "the real deal".
So please tell me, how spiritual is different than the rest?
Even if he is "The real deal" i will not stop questioning his theories and his opinion purely because he acts like a drunken douchebag.
