The Ziz is from Hebraw mythologi.mythology. It is said that it was an enormous Griffin -like bird creature. It was as big as Leviathan, its feet planted on earth and it's head reached the sky. It had a wingspan so wide it could block out the sun.
Some say that the Ziz was a good hearted creature, but it was created to protect the birds, if not, all the smaller birds would die, because they would be an easy prey for predators. Bird hunters and animals who hunt birds would be terrefied to enter its terretory, because it was also immortal.

The Ziz was also an metaphor for the air and space, as Behemoth was for the earth and Leviathan water.
This creature is associated with; Bar Juchne, Garuda, Roc, Simurgh and the Griffin.
