For starters, the term Warlock is incredibly rude, disrespectful and derogatory. It is magical practitioners N word. It is a terrible word and should never be used. This word was used for a witch or wizard that betrayed his or her fellow conven (group of witches and wizards) to the Cristian witch hunters during the burning times, essentially our holocaust during the middle ages when Christians brutally wiped us out and murdered our children by the millions just because the fathers of the church couldn't do anything half as miraculous as magic, and were thereby scared and jealous of it. Secondly, as my comrade above said, most of this is crap. The absolute lie that any witch or WIZARD worships satan is BS. I am a Wizard and I'm not even wiccan, I DO NOT worship anything, no devil or God or anything, so that's obviously false. This stems from Christianity's foul and bitter lies, born of jealousy and hatred. There is no such thing as hell for starters, and there is no devil, no satan. Satan is sanskrit for adversary, the title given to Lucifer after he fell from grace, and the word Satan is never once used in the bible (excluding some folk bibles, but those don't even remotely count).

As my fellow Wiccans said, most of this is completely wrong. One of the biggest flaws is saying black magick followers worship Satan. I'm certainly not into black magick but isn't Satan part of Christianity and Catholicism? Doesn't that contradict being a witch, Pagan or Wiccan? How can we "worship" something that isn't even part of our religion? Just stating my opinion.

yes i agree. we are not that weird. i have been studying Wicca for 7 years and i am now 18. i believe that who ever wrote this should revise it. this is the reason why people fear us, because they don't know the truth and it creates a pandemic.
besides we are not mythical creatures we are real, so i find this a little bit insulting.

So why is a statement on witches here?
People don't come to this entry in order to learn about wicca or what modern "real" witchcraft is. They'll come here to learn about witches as a mythical creature. I really would move this article be completely revised.

All of you are nuts. Come on. Witches were never ever like that. They were just human beings. Our doctors now would be mistaken for Witches or Warlocks back then. I say fix the whole article. I bet that the others are just as False!!

mother nature is our core survivor she is there when we need her the goddess does as her own will as we do to but we do live normal lives there are jocks, preps, geeks, goths, emos, rednecks, Indians, Hispanics, etc. everyone we know is a pagan we all have the power of the goddess within ourselves she gave it to us at birth but most people dont know how to capture that power wiccans are only normal people who have been able to give them self to the goddess and control that power some use it for good as others use it for dark some wiccans are even grey witchs but everyone is a witch in their own way. we all look human and some of the legends are true, but we all are the same just with different taste in style or music or whatever. everyone is a witch
