Ok...so this is scary...it gives me the chills.
In June, my family was going to North Carolina (before Irene) . We had travelled from Pennsylvania and we were halway through Virginia. Then I saw it. I happened to look to the side of the round, and stunned, I saw a huge pterodactyl-like bird staring out of the trees at me. It was perched on a branch, and it was black, with dark beady eyes. I was so scared I didn't tell my Dad untill we got to our shore house. My Dad was shocked, and we told my Uncle John. The 3 of us were Cryptid-Beleivers, we beleived that strange cryptids were real, and I think I found one. I'm sure it wasn't a Gull, even though there were huge ones. The hug gulls were all light brown, but the Thunderbird was midnight black, against the bright sky. Can you guys help me out? The Thunderbird is also found in my Area of Pennsylvania! |

there's an old navajo story about twins whos father was the sun. using weapons from their father they killed two large birds that lived on the shiprock formation. these birds carried their prey and dropped them on the rocks to feed their young. after they were killed the two offspring begged for their lives and became the eagle and the owl. the owl represents a warning and the eagle represent good fortune. i think the thunderbird may be the two birds but not sure

One day, my friend and I were in his field having a paintball war, when all of a sudden a huge shadow overtook the field. Looking up, we found enormous bird with a huge wingspan. Nearly ten minutes later, the sky had darkened, and in another ten minutes we had the worst storm we had seen out in the Kansas country-sides.

well the "thunder bird" does not cause thunder. its called thunder bird for being a big bird...Eagles,hawks,ext. the fact the bird flew away and you herd a loud thunder does not mean that the bird is a god. if are near the lightning then yes it will sound louder and closer. the bird prob flew away from the noise, or your mind is playing tricks on you. plus "thunder birds" live in the canyons.
