Sirens are mythical beings from Greek Mythology. We know sirens mainly for their beautiful voices, voices so mystical they lured sailors off their ships to their watery death. Also from a distance they appear to be standing on a beautiful island, but if you are smart enough to get closer you see they are in fact standing on a heap of their decomposed victims. One famous sighting was in Homers epic the Odessey when Odysseus was warned of them and demanded his crew to tie him to the mast of his ship and to put wax in his ears. Odysseus and a few others survived, while others met their fate at the sirens feet.
