Such cruel fate, yet I concede that Odysseus and his men were quite clever in this plan.

I heard that Sirens are also very, very beautiful that draws the male sailors to them. As well as their enchanting singing, soon when the sailors come face to face with the Sirens, the Sirens eat them. Otherwise what I'm trying to say is that they're man-eating mermaids--at least that's what I've heard?

Okay, so we know that Sirens lure men to their doom by singing to them. But my question is what would happen if there was a girl that heard their song? Would she be immune to it? Or would it effect her the same way?

i have been doing a lot of research about the formation of the Sirens and this is what i got:
Sirens are composed of women and of birds, in various ways. In early Greek art sirens were represented as birds with large women's heads, bird feathers and scaly feet. Later, they were represented as female figures with the legs of birds, with or without wings playing a variety of musical instruments, especially harps. The tenth century Byzantine encyclopaedia Suda says that from their chests up Sirens had the form of sparrows, below they were women, or, alternatively, that they were little birds with women's faces. In other myths they take the formation of upper body of a women and the lower body as fish. Birds were mainly chosen because of their beautiful voices. there is not a proper myth saying that any of those is right but none saying that any of them are wrong.

I may be getting my scots and my Irish mixed up here, but I'm pretty sure it was Banshee's whose wail was concidered a sign of death.
Sirens were the beautiful women who led men to their deaths by intrancing them with their lovely singing.
