could it be the same? the pantot has the same description of the sigbin. it attacks with its behind and releases a very bad smell. it is also nocturnal and feeds on insects.though mythically they say its charcoal. who might know it was eating insects near a charcoaled area. the pantot was featured at the born to be wild last march 2011 on one of its episode by kiko rustia. it lives in the fields and hiding in holes. mythically it runs faster than the speed of light. perhaps they did not see where it went. Filipinos are known to be mythical, they believe in what their ancestors stories.

Omg these ancient Filipinos 1st encountered a Kangaroo and thought it was some mythological beast. It's
just a kangaroo or if this creature does/did exist, much like other mythological beasts, it probably took on the form of a kangaroo. Does not mean it's a kangaroo just possibly, it can shape shift. Makes you wonder, do some of the Filipinos still think that kangaroos, they see on tv and in Australia or sigbin?

TAMBUYAKYAKS are said to be prevalent in the bicol area. these are ground-rooted monsters that may look like innocent forest plants but when hungry suddenly opens up with a horrible sound and goobles anything alive within its realm. it also may look like a venus fly trap.
