"Hey, any post for a creature called "The Living Cave?" I think it's also called "The Host." It's a sea creature from a book I just read called "Ancient Canada." Sort of a mythology story for an alternate Canada. Really great book. But one creature called "The Living Cave" was a huge, six-legged amphibious sea-creature which traveled one way in the water and the other way on land. Its land lungs had about sixty humans in it, in sort of a purgatory I guess. As long as they stayed there, the didn't die and couldn't be hurt. But their mind rotted as they just sat there inside the creature, in darkness while it migrated. So while at first they thought their lives were saved by the creature, they just found another form of death. It was reddish-brown I think, probably bigger than a whale, while one eye at the end of a long tentacle."
