A rod is a well proven but a very hard to see creature. In some videos on newscasts and even home videos shows tiny or very large creatures. mostly sited around the great planes areas they show up as brown and yellow streaks on a video. They get anywhere from 1cm long to a mile long. They can reach speeds up to 150 miles per hour.

The one thing that keeps them invisible is there sometimes small size and other times speed depending on how large they are. The larger ones which reach up to 300 foot long use speed to keep themselves hidden. The link at the top of the page will show you some smaller "rods"
