Quetzalcoatl is a feathered serphent god in Mesoamerica. It is argued what exactly he is a god of, but mostly fertility and creation.
in Aztec culture, he is a transgressor between sky and earth. When Hernan Cortes came to mexico he was mistaken to be Quetzalcoatl by the emporor Moctezuma,Montezuma, which lead to the downfall of the Aztecs.
