i saw this in a ripleys book that i read a couple days ago. the book was "the remarkable... Revealed". im looking at the book right now. on page 160-161, it talks about the artist who made two of these "merman". the name of this artist is Juan Cabanaand it says he lives in florida. it also says that he makes other sea monsters along with merman with fish and animal remains. heres a link to a page i found on Juan Cabana's work.. http://www.thefeejeemermaid.com/

I'm an Artist. And i know, i have done Factal Reconstution of Animal skulls, turning them into dragons, and such. And it is Really REALLY Hard to make something look that real. I'm not saying that it can't be fake. but making it so seemless. Thats' something only a few people can do.
