MenehuneThis is a featured page

A helpful night spirit of the Hawaiian Islands. It is thought to be akin to the Scottish Brownie as they both share the habit of doing the housework of kind and pleasant families whilst they sleep.

Few people have seen the Menehune, which are believed to have pointed ears, shaggy black hair and tiny agile bodies. They are sometimes thought to be the original inhabitants of the Hawaiian islands.

These creatures were VERY entwined in the mythos of the culture of Hawaii and are still thought to exist even today. I have a friend of mine that lives there and they have sightings of these elusive creatures once in a great while, usually seen while helping motorists that had just been in accidents, etc.
