Actually no. It is one of the Bermuda Triangle Guardians. Deep down, too far for any machine, are riches valuable to the guardians. If anything gets even close to it, one of th guardians will destroy it. Apparently the one in the picture was a guardian, do to the fact that it didn't show up on sonar. If a creature that size doesn't show up, it's a guardian. They don't show up beacause they are at the bottom of the oceans.

you say it has no food source, look what its about to eat, an entire plane. If it is capable to digest, and harness the metal alloy that's used in planes and tanker ships, it would be able to self sustain on the amount of energy that is able to be harnessed by alloy, for around three to for years. The only factor that supports your theorem is that, yes metal alloy would be able to sustain it with the amount of calories needed to sustain it but not the level of nutrition that is needed, thus this creature can not exist unless it has a sufficient source of nutrition.
