Well, for anyone who was wondering, as this page does not tell, griffins first where part of Indian Folklore, and where said to bring down horses with their talons.
Also, hippogryphs, whomevers idea, would not work because of that simple fact. Horses where the prey of griffins, so a hippogryph would not have been born because the griffin would have eaten the horse before it mated with it. Just so you know.

O anon there are so many ways I could reply but I'll just try and be nice. If you think we are all nerds, even though most of us just want to expand our knowledge about myths/legends, then why the hell are you looking on a site and page you have dubbed "boring"? Go be stupid somewhere else.

What Griffins Eat

What I think personally is that Griffins with it's lion and eagle mix of a body it might feast on larger creatures due to it's size. With that said it would probably eat larger creatures like deer but also eat smaller creatures like fish due to it's eagle features.

Man, I have NO idea. I've looked all over for different things like that, but dang! i can't find anything! Considering that their head is Eagle, a Griffin would prob. eat whatever an eagle eats: fish and the like.
However, since it's OTHER half is Lion, then it might eat deer or something. But i don't think that because the Eagle in it would barf! Lol.

i dont think the eagle would barf because eagles dont just eat fish. they eat small animals like squirrels.

well, they are part eagle and part lion so they eat field animals and fish.
