Uranus is not a Greek god it is a Roman god. The greeks were really advanced so maybe their gods were real . . . who knows but i certainly follow their 'myths'.

A many-headed dragon who watched over the garden of the Hesperides. When Heracles as one of his Labors sought the golden apples in the keeping of these Daughters of the Evening, he had to enlist the aid of the Titan Atlas. Atlas was willing to steal the apples if Heracles relieved him of his burden of holding up the heavens, but only if the hero first did something about Ladon. Heracles killed the dragon with an arrow over the garden wall.

I follow the Greek religion, and find it offensive that people compare the Greek religion to the Romans. I'm not baggin' on any of you,it just gets annoying.

Recently I found out that the giant wolf (Lupa) that suckled Romulus and Remus was actually a goddess in Greek/Roman mythology but I couldn't find out were she fits in on the family tree. If anyone knows who Lupa's parents are could you tell me. If I get this information I could write a page on her here.
Thanks!

I find this very sad, almost heartbreaking, that this site lacks many of the common knowledge of the Greek mythologies. Cerberus: A guard dog in the UnderWorld, has three heads and is basically a pet of Hades. Dragons: What is there to explain? Fury: They're figures that are half women half vulture, they normally work with Zeus. Griffins: Half Lion, half eagle beast; it is sometimes portrayed to be part lion, part eagle, and part snake. Olympians: Anyone who lives on Mount. Olympus, normally just the representing and main gods and goddesses. Phoenix: Same as Dragons, what is there to explain? Unicorns:...Horses with freaking horns on their heads.
